A feature film by the director of Breaker Morant and the multiple Oscar-winning Driving Miss Daisy, this drama is based on the autobiography by the dancer turned stockbroker Li Cunxin who was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet. In 1979, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he defected. Forbidden to return to China, he is invited by Ben Stevenson to perform as a principal dancer for the Houston Ballet. With Chi Cao, Bruce Greenwood, Kyle MacLachlan.

CRIMSON RAINCLOUDS is in two languages (English and Meiteilon) and three scripts (including Meitei Mayek) and is published by Thema Books, Kolkata. The book party was hosted by LEIKOL.
